Well Jeremy, Tennessee held a double digit lead until Memphis switched to the zone and that's when they allowed the Tigers back into the game. The Vols offense went 8 or 9 possessions in a row without scoring. That's inexcusable for the so called 14th team in the nation. I've thought they were overrated all season and this game just added more proof.

As I said in the recap, +16 advantage on the boards, Tigers shooting 31%, and Elliot Williams is 1 for 7, yet it's a 2 possession game with a minute to go. They let Memphis back in the game with pitiful ball movement and questionable shot selection against the zone. Memphis looked dead with 13 minutes to go. I would absolutely say Tennessee failed to put the game away adequately.

I am not sure how you can make the comment that Tenn did not put the game away. If I recall correctly, they won and they never gave up the lead with Memphis getting to 4 points and never closer. With Tenn making its free throws down the stretch I would say your comment is incorrect.

Not sure Dykes will be at ESPN much longer. The quality they expect from their commentators was there, but he said nice things about Calipari.
