So, without further ado, here are our rankings (votes – first place votes), with next week’s schedule. Week 12 will be games played between January 31 and February 6. As the season progresses, we’ll keep a log of top 25 and top 50 wins so you can follow the important information to the NCAA tournament. The records and stats come from realtimerpi.

Will LeBron Leave Cleveland for Lexington?

In case you missed it, LeBron James made an appearance at Rupp Arena yesterday to take in the Kentucky Wildcats’ thrashing of the Vanderbilt Commodores. “King” James even went as far as to become the “Y” in “Kentucky” during a cheer to start the second half.

It’s widely known that LeBron is very good friends with current Wildcat coach John Calipari and King James has visited the team on at least a couple of occasions prior. All of this has led to speculation that LeBron may be looking to opt out of his deal with the Cavaliers to sign with the Kentucky Wildcats.

Seeking to get to the bottom of this rumor, the EJSIC decided to interview a member of the King’s entourage who agreed to speak with us on the condition of anonymity. We asked said lacky if there was any truth to all the scuttlebutt:

“Well… I’ll just say that the King may be looking at trading in his royal red robe for a royal blue one and leave it at that.”

When pressed as to why an NBA superstar making millions of dollars would even fathom joining a college team, he had this to say:

“The King is all about winning a title and leaving a legacy. He thinks the Wildcats could dominate college basketball over the next 4 years with him on the roster.”

“Plus, did you know there’s no salary cap at Kentucky? And since the player salaries are all under the table, Bron may not even have to pay taxes anymore. It’s a win-win situation.”

So, how close is this to being a done deal?

“Like I said, look for the King to have a lot more blue in his wardrobe next season.”

So there you have it, folks. It looks like the rich may be getting richer in every sense of the word in Wildcat Country next season.

NO Live Blog OR Interview Tonight

UPDATED: The interview with WNSR has been moved… again. This time due to inclement weather causing the station to close.

In the internet age, we forget sometimes that these things go on at actual physical locations that are affected by nature and the like. You can’t schedule around a foot of snow in the south, so I completely understand the reason for the move.

We will try again Monday night. As soon as we settle on a time, I’ll let everyone know. Thanks for caring.

Grainy Footage Clearly Shows Basketball Assault

Footage released this week in the aftermath of South Carolina’s shocking upset of Top Ranked Kentucky has been reported to show star freshman DeMarcus Cousins assaulting a South Carolina Student as the student rushed the court at the end of the game. See Footage Here.

BigfootExtensive research on the alleged incident by the EJSIC staff has revealed something far more troubling, however. It appears, after several viewings of the tiny corner of the grainy footage, that not only did the assault take place, but it took place directly in front of Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster and the Grassy Knoll Shooter, all of whom were attending the game as Kentucky coach John Calipari’s most recent celebrity guests.

“It really was terrible,” Bigfoot said when reached back at his secret lair somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. “The kid was just trying to call DeMarcus names before he ran out on the court to celebrate and then DeMarcus hauled off and gave him a chicken wing and then cold-cocked him.”

“You just hate to see something like this happen,” Mr. Foot continued. “One minute I was in the locker room before the game talking to the kids about making sure your number 1 ranking doesn’t just become some kind of legend and then something like this happens.”

The Loch Ness Monster echoed Bigfoot’s concerns. When asked about the chicken wing specifically, Mr. Monster simply replied “Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm chicken wings.”

Citing longstanding CIA concerns, Mr. Shooter declined a request to be interviewed for this story.
