  1. Just out of curiosity, what’s the criteria we’re using for quality wins? RPI? “Look” test?

I’m fine with either. I’d just like to know.

  2. Shred, there are 6 ACC teams and 6 BE teams in the top 25. Furthermore, a lot of the votes are trending more closely with the AP and Coaches than they were early in the season. I’m not sure why but it appears less emphasis is on who a team has played and beaten. I didn’t vote for Ga Tech or Connecticut in my poll because I’m really not impressed with either.

And Flop, I’m using “key wins” as wins that would matter if the tourney started today. It might be a “look” test – loosely based on who would at least be on the bubble if this was selection Sunday. Marquette is the quality win that is most questionable – but they’ve played teams tough even though they’ve lost most of those games.

  3. It’s a little surprising that it could shake out that way considering the fact that I’ve heard almost all of our ACC fan voters say that they think the league is way down this year. And beyond the number of teams included, my bigger issue is where they fall in the rankings. It has nothing to do with the Big East teams.
