Marlins New Ballpark To Put The ‘Tank’ in Fish Tank

The Florida Marlins announced recently that yet another unique feature of their $500 million downtown Miami stadium will be two, custom made aquariums situated behind home plate.

Daddy, why are there more fish in the tank than fans in the seats?

Bloggers have lit up the cyberverse discussing this interesting feature.  Love it or hate it, you have to admire the creativity.

The point that’s being missed in all the discussion, though, is…THAT THE MARLINS ARE BUILDING A NEW STADIUM AT ALL.  Unless it has only 4,000 seats, I can’t fathom how it’s NOT a colossal waste of money.

I will go to my grave believing that regular-season baseball has no business being played in the state of Florida.

Two fancy aquariums aren’t going to change that.  Add a killer whale show and some sea lions or penquins and charge a separate admission to see them…then maybe it will be a worthwhile endeavor.
