It’s Dead Pool 2011 time.
Here are the rules:
Each player submits a numeric list of 5 celebrities they think will kick it in 2011. The order listed determines the points available.
ie:
1. Celeb A (5 points)
2. Celeb B (4 points)
3. Celeb C (3 points)
4. Celeb D (2 points)
5. Celeb E (1 point)
If a celebrity on your list shuffles off, you may then replace them in the same numeric spot on the list with another name not already on your list.
There are no bonus points for picking youth over elderly.
Submissions need to be posted in this thread. All original submissions need to be posted here by 11:59:59pm on January 7, 2011. Play continues until the end of December. Player with the most points wins.

I wanted to go with Lyndsey Lohan, but I felt guilty.
Yay me, and bring on 2012! But, can I make a suggestion for next year? I had three “5-pointers” die this year mainly because I had an unfair advantage of replacing said 5-pointer with another 5-pointer, based on the latest news of their health. What really should happen is one of two things: 1) When a celeb on your list dies, all the ones previously below automatically move upward so that all replacements are 1-pointers. You still get an advantage as your replacement may be someone who recentaly fell seriously ill or lapsed into a coma or what-not, but at least it’s only 1 point. A better idea would be: 2) Don’t replace anyone on the list if there’s a death – just go with the 5 original picks and leave it at that.

As for your suggestions: the first is way too much work for me. There would have to be alternate lists and orders that would have to be kept up with…and frankly, I’m way too lazy to do that. The current structure rewards higher picks. If your #1 checks off, you have earned the right to replace them with anyone you choose. Just the way it goes.
The second, well, that just defeats the fun in my opinion.
We have added a few modifications to the ’12 installment. Should make it a little more interesting. Check it out in the forum.
