• The Cam Newton “pay-for-play” story doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon, as ESPN is releasing new info from their “sources” everyday. On the surface, the future looks bleak for the Newtons and Auburn, but my experience in watching the Pete Thamel’s and Michael O’Brien’s of the world basically make things up in relation to Kentucky players and recruits has taught me to never trust a motivated reporter. We’ll see if the proof is in the pudding.
• Duke has decided to cancel tailgating, after a minor was found passed out in a port-o-potty. How in the world can people be expected to watch Duke football sober?
• A High School kicker who was kicked off the football team for wearing pink cleats in support of breast cancer awareness is suing the school and the coach. Kudos to him for not bending to an insecure douchebag high school coach who’s probably wearing a purple thong in support of nothing but his sack.
• The nation is waste deep in soy beans after a $30 trillion farm subsidy bill is accidentally passed. Hooray for the “working” man.
